Quiet on Klambratún – Yoga Nidra & Gong Relaxation (Summer 2026)

July 12
klambratun

Give your body and mind the opportunity to unwind in a beautiful outdoor setting.

This summer, you’re invited to join free Yoga Nidra and Gong Relaxation sessions at Klambratún Park in Reykjavík. The sessions are open to everyone.

Yoga Nidra, often referred to as “yogic sleep,” is a guided relaxation practice that allows the body and mind to enter a state of deep rest. You’ll lie down comfortably while the instructor guides you through breathing exercises, gentle body awareness, mindfulness, and the soothing sounds of a gong.

The aim of this community project is to encourage time outdoors, relaxation, well-being, and connection within the local community.

No previous yoga experience is required.

  • Suitable for beginners and experienced practitioners alike
  • Free of charge

Location
Klambratún Park, 105 Reykjavík, Iceland.
The meeting point is at the corner of Flókagata and Lönguhlíð, on the grassy slope used for sledding during winter.
